Big 2021 Catchup Post

Well, it happened again. I didn’t update the site for almost a year. Mostly because the old site was a pain to deal with. (See this post for details.) So here’s what I failed to post about since September first of last year. Mostly in chronological order, but there’s a lot of overlap here.

Learning Godot

In September of 2020 I finally started learning to use the Godot game engine. I fiddled around and started making a practice game starring Mr. Game and Watch. More on that on my Twitter, to left on desktop and above on mobile.

I’m hoping to get back into Godot once I’m done with AKR2 v2.9. I’d like to finish this little game in particular. Might be cool to have an actual game made in Godot, even if it’s just a demo.

I also started an itch.io page. But I’ve yet to do anything with it. Maybe this little game will be one of the first things I post on it.

My Old Webcomic Finds a New Home on Newgrounds & Changes Coming to Lambta.co

Almost ten years ago I briefly published a webcomic called We Are Not Role Models, or WANRM for short. It was an odd couple roommate thing, as was the style at the time.

My favourite WANRM.

Anyway, I’m moving that comic from it’s current location in a subdirectory of lambta.co to the Art Portal on Newgrounds. (Potentially NSFW link. NG filters out the adults-only stuff automatically, but uploaders aren’t always accurate at rating their work.) I’ve separated it into arcs because posting all 70 comics individually feels spammy, and the Art Portal only allows 11 total images in each post.

Now, in the unlikely event you’ve both heard of WANRM and read it, I have good news: There is new content. So to speak. I’ve amended each post with commentary. Little write-ups on what inspired the comic, and how I feel about it now. That sort of thing.

5k Subs for Lambtaco Comedy and I’m not Dead Nov ’17

Recently our other youtube channel, Lambtaco Comedy, reached the landmark 5000 subscriber point. A goal I was long awaiting, but ended up missing. Thanks to everyone who subscribed. Sorry there is no milestone video. But I plan to get back at it and upload some videos soon.

The reason for my recent absence can be summed up with two words: Nintendo Switch

I’ve been in a bit of a game coma the past two weeks, but now that I’ve beaten Mario ad Zelda, I should be able to get back to business. I’ll catch up on answering comments/emails over the next few days, and I’ll be more active on Discord. And if you want to know my thoughts on those games, the Lambtaco Discord server is the place to ask.

The next comedy video should be the Emoji Movie parody. I meant for it to come out around the same time the actual movie came out on video, but the movie surprised me and came out around Hallowe’en instead of Christmas. Probably should have looked that up at some point. Anyway, it’s half done so I should have it done pretty quickly.

Subtitles Added to Comedy Videos

A while ago someone mentioned to me that they don’t get into the comedy side of what we do here at Lambtaco because English isn’t their first language and they consequently find the videos difficult to follow. Since then I’ve been meaning to subtitle all of our comedy videos. In English because it’s often easier to read a foreign language than to hear it. Finally I’ve gotten it started.


So far I’ve done up all of our HD era videos, those branded as Lambtaco when they initially released, with the exception of Sombrero and Maloney because it’s 8 minutes of talking. I plan to get to the rest in due time, as well as sub the one Gaming video that has speech.

P.S. Sorry for lack of posts. Haven’t had anything substantial to report lately.

Farewell to The Dirty Frenchman


It’s been a long time coming, but I’ve decided to remove The Dirty Frenchman cartoons, both from here and from Youtube. I’m doing this for a number of reasons:

  1. It takes Lambtaco from a NC17 down to a more accessible PG13 with extra F-bombs.
  2. The website and youtube channel are now more advertiser friendly. If I ever try to make some real money off this, not having theĀ Frenchman around will really help out.
  3. The first episode was pretty crappy. It’s pretty much the worst animation on the site. IĀ can’t leave up part two without part one.

We made these cartoons when we were teenagers, and for an internet that was in it’s wild West days. Unfortunately that shit doesn’t really fly any more.

That said, both cartoons should remain on Newgrounds in all their HD Glory for the foreseeable future.

Liberal Win and it’s Effects on Political Sodomy 3

The Liberal Party has won a majority government here in Canada. An outcome we did not predict when writing Political Sodomy 3 over a month ago when the polls suggested a very different outcome. In a way it’s a good thing, because now we can give it an ending that fits what actually happened. But it’s also a bad thing because we need to write a new ending now. I’m going to go on record and say it should be done in two weeks.
